DARPA Urban Challenge 2007
DARPA has announced the next Grand Challenge will be held in November 2007. Shifting from last years desert scenario to an urban environment, the task becomes even more demanding. In addition to accurate sensors, robust mapping of the environment and precise control, a new challenge occurs: Understanding a traffic scenario and obeying traffic rules requires a complex form of artificial intelligence.
